Tentative Agreement Reached Between CSEA and PUSD
A tentative agreement on a salary increase and benefits has been reached between the California School Employees Association (CSEA), Chapter 434 and the Pasadena Unified School District.
The tentative agreement includes a 3% increase in the CSEA salary schedule effective January 1, 2014. The tentative agreement also defines the district's contribution toward CSEA employee benefits and the health and dental employee premium costs effective April 1, 2014. PUSD and CSEA Exchange Counter Proposals
Teamsters Reopen Wage Portion of Agreement
PUSD received a letter from Teamsters Local 911 on February 19 to reopen the wage portion of their labor agreement with the district. To see the Teamsters letter, click here. The district will respond after consultation with the Board of Education.
Negotiations Between PUSD and CSEA
The California School Employees Association, Local 434 and PUSD held a bargaining session on February 21, 2014. To see the CSEA proposal, click here. The district will respond after consultation with the Board of Education.
Tentative Agreement Reached Between PUSD and UTP
On January 31, 2014 United Teachers of Pasadena (UTP) and the Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) reached a Complete Tentative Agreement for a Successor Contract for school years 2013-2014 through 2015-2016. Highlights of the Agreement include:
· 3% salary schedule increase effective January 1, 2014
· Transition into Self-Insured Schools of California (SISC) for Health Care Benefits effective April 1, 2014 with the following out of pocket rates:
§ Kaiser HMO and Blue Shield HMO - $13, $28, $68
§ Blue Shield PPO - $117, $160, $305
· The District to pay for any increase to health insurance premiums in 2014-2015 and 2015-2016
· Ratification tentatively scheduled for February 14, 2014 for UTP and February 27, 2014 for the District
· Open enrollment will take place February 18th through February 28th, 2014.
Complete disclosure of all provisions and a ratification timeline will be forthcoming from United Teachers of Pasadena and Pasadena Unified School District in the immediate future.
